This street person set up residence under the porch roof of St.Joseph's Catholic Church. Many people within the system are now attempting to build suitable shelters for these folks but the " NIMBY " factor is a problem.
I don't know if you have heard about the homeless tent cities in the Seattle/Bellevue/Everett area. They are allowed on some church properties for a little while, but then have to move on. There have been some NIMBY's, but other churches end up letting them stay for awhile.
Desptie the apparent shortage of housing, homelessness seems to have slipped off the radar. People still sell The Big Issue (a paper to support homeless people with a small income) but most of them seem to have some kind of basic home or a hostel place.
Or, of course, I may be completely wrong, and the problem may persist more invisibly.
I used to be a P.I., so my camera work came to me with no problem. I photograph people and things mostly street situations.I am all over the map with my photos.Things that are old in appearance with some history attached would be something that I would stop for and photograph.
